Create Timeless Memories That Feel Like a Movie in Taiwan

My work leans cinematic and natural, with color and tone shaped by the light and feeling of each moment.

My Approach

A photoshoot that feels more like a date

More than lighting, composition, or color, what stays with me most in a good film is the story. In a photoshoot, that story is the two of you, so making sure you feel comfortable is always my priority. I’m an introvert when I’m not behind the camera, so I understand that posing or being photographed in public can feel awkward. That’s why I like to treat each session more like a date than a photoshoot.

You don’t need to know how to pose or perform for the camera. I’ll guide you when needed, but I’ll also leave plenty of room for you to move, talk, laugh, and simply enjoy being together. My approach is cinematic and gently directed, with a focus on the quiet, honest moments that make the photographs feel like you.

Two ways to photograph your story

Like a Date

A natural couple session centered around spending time together. We’ll walk, talk, explore, and photograph the moments that happen along the way.

Best for travelers, anniversaries, proposals, engagement sessions, or couples who want relaxed, natural photographs without a heavily styled concept.

Taiwan, Like a Film

A more intentional experience built around mood, movement, atmosphere, and the character of each location. We’ll plan the wardrobe, setting, and visual direction so the session feels like a complete story.

Best for engagement photos, pre wedding stories, anniversaries, or couples who want something more immersive, styled, and cinematic in Taiwan.

We live abroad most of the year and usually only come back to Taiwan to visit family, so we really wanted to bring a little piece of Taiwan back with us. Neither of us had much experience posing for photos, but Francis’s guidance and prompts made everything feel easy and relaxed. The photos turned out exactly as we’d hoped and captured our time together in Taipei so beautifully!

We had such a great time shooting with Francis! He was super kind, professional, and really easy to work with. We sent him our Pinterest mood board beforehand, and he totally understood the vibe we were going for. We shot during Chinese New Year, so the streets were really packed, but he guided us through everything and somehow made it all feel easy and fun. We also loved the creative angles he came up with. Definitely recommend him if you’re a couple with a specific aesthetic in mind!

We absolutely loved the whole experience and the final gallery! Francis made our date night look like stills from a movie. We were worried we might feel awkward in front of the camera, but he was really good at directing us and finding unique angles that helped us relax. The shot from outside the restaurant will forever be one of our favorites!

Hi, I’m Francis, a Taiwanese photographer based in Taipei.

Born and raised in Taiwan, I spent several years building my photography career in Los Angeles before finding my way home to Taipei. Inspired by cinema, I’m drawn to the quiet, honest moments in between. I’ll guide you when needed, but mostly I want you to feel comfortable and enjoy being yourselves.
